Having lived in London, I'd say Ginnan in Islington is the best Japanese food I'd had. I live in Japan now, so obviously it's everywhere. But where's the best Japanese restaurant in the world? I'm on a mission to find out...

  2. In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, it's Tojo's. Whether you love your Japanese food hot, cold or raw, Tojo's does it best without a doubt! Not sure what to order? Call a day in advance and order Omakase (Chef's Choice).

In Berkeley, California, check out Kirala for the most delectable sashimi and robata!

San Francisco, California offers Ebisu where you can sit at the sushi bar all night and "I'll have one of what you just made" and discover new delicacies!

Ramen freaks! Check out Santa Ramen in San Mateo, California but you better get there at least 30 minutes before they open or you'll have to wait at least 45 minutes to get a seat!

Megumi at Tomo Sushi Bistro also offers up great Omakase in Pleasanton, California . Place your order 24 hours in advance so she can shop especially for you!
