  1. It's a used Nikon F with a Photomic T Meter on top which currently sells for around $200 with a 55 mm normal Nikor lense at Russ' Camera in Santa Barbara.

  2. It's hard to answer without knowing what you intend to shoot.

    If I could only own one, it would be a Nikon F3

    If you needed a higher flash synch...a Nikon FA

  4. I know  a lot of people will say the F5 or F6 because those were the high-cost, supposedly Pro film bodies...but I personally think the F100 was one of the nicest film bodies nikon made. It wasn't overly complicated, it had a full set of features, ran for ever on 4 AA batteries and was as solid as a rock. I used two of them for a number of years and never had a problem with either one. I haven't been keeping up on the used market for film gear, but I'm sure you can probably pick up a good one for under $800...
