Which is the best Ski & snowboard resort for young people with lots of nightlife?

bob's list is pretty much on the mark but the x-games are at aspen(snowmass) not ski-town usa(steamboat)

for apre-ski I'd choose Mt Tremblant. intrawest dropped a billion dollars into the resort and they have some great nightspots and restaurants but it's a really cold place to ski

Well in michigan Crystal mountain is pretty good....they have a club going on almost every night

What would we do without big resorts that can drop big cash into their base areas and just keep the money in the corporation?

A nasty rumor floated around Killington this year that the new owners were going to shut down for the 07-08 season and force all of the local bars and resturaunts to close and go bankrupt, thus allowing the resort to buy them dirt cheap. God forbid if the resort doesn't take all of your cash while you are there.

I know I'm not answering the question, but good apres-ski is not found...it's made. It is usually made by the locals someplace off-property and no one is getting raped for a $5 Red Bull & Vodka or a $4 pint of Coors Light. These are great parties to attend because undoubtedly locals get loose lipped about the good stashes of snow once they've been liquored up. I know I do.

I've been to my fair share of "staged" ski town shin-digs and NONE of them have been as good as house parties we've stumbled into or thrown ourselves. (Memorial Day at A-Basin being the notable exception. All bets are off as to what can happen at the Beach in late May.)

Whistler, Aspen. Skip the Eastern resorts if you're looking for good snow, however.
