  1. Sound quality is based on you.

If you are downloading MP3s or have a ridiculous amount of routers/hubs on your line, your phone quality will be terrible.

Also, if your house wiring isnt up to date, or in tip top shape, your sound quality/call quality will be terrible.

  2. I would take a serious interest in the reply by TiffanyB, I happen to know the service she is talking about and it is fantastic.

  3. I would strip my pots line to the bare basics and get myself a magicJack as a backup line and for making long distance calls within Canada and US.  The initial cost is around $46.00 which includes a whole years worth of long distance calling. Visit the following sites for more information:

I have been using one since November and am very satisfied with the service.

    Cheers....

  4. Hi Boby T, my name is Darrel G. I have Globalinx Home Unlimited Annual for only $239.99 yearly about two years now. You can also get a FAX line with your two port phone adapter, and keep your same phone number. The sound quality is better than any land line i ever used. The key is to get a good digital phone. I found the best one to be the Panasonic KX-TG5633 or any good Panasonic and comes with one base unit and three phones. Stay away from V-tech phone this is where you get bad sound quality. Just check out the sight, and you will be amazed at all the fetures you will get. I never worry how long i talk, anyware in the world! Good luck, and have fun with VOIP.

  5. I use InPhonex.

    1) Sound quality is very good

    2) Prices:

    "USA & Canada Unlimited" - $24.95/month

    or, "LiteLine" - $7.95/month

All bells&whistles and E911 are free

Calling Card world-wide access when traveling.

    3) NO Contracts

Only Pay-As-You-Go.... or month by month.

I use them because they offer E911 in Canada where I live, even though they are a USA-based service.

I also use them because of their Pay-As-You-go policies.... No Commitments or gotchas...

I like their Calling Card access options (free access)

    Free voice-mail, call forwarding, etc:

I pay 16 dollars a month now, since I pay now yearly......no contract....and the sound is crystal clear!

go to the dslreports.com website....and check all the different VoIP providers....!

  7. Personally I go through a company called ACN.  It's crystal clear, cheap and the service people are awesome!  I've never had better service and I've switched services a lot in the past until I came across them.

I'm not sure how much it would be in your area, if you'd like me to find out email me your area code and first three digits of your home phone number and I can find out for you.
