Which is the best acoustic guitar make??

Question

Thinking of buying a new acoustic guitar with a good pickup system in it,i know Martin,Taylor,Takamine,Gibson and Yahama are fairly reputable names,but whats everyones general opinion? Let me know what ye think,cheers!!

I have a Takamine and it is excellent.  The pickup is particularly good.

Martins...sound so tinny...very twangy for the country bumpkins...

Ovations...great sound for the older ones..now adays they dont sound good...Taylors are great  if you spend over 2000$...but for the money and the sheer playablity Breedloves.....great guitars

stay away from Gibson, fender, epiphone and ibanez..they are horrible sounding

That is like asking what is the best kind of chocolate bar? You wont get a consensus of opinion, you need to first of all learn guitar, then get to love guitar, only then will you be able to choose a favourite. The two best guitarists in the world probably wont then agree, it is a totally personal thing. On those grounds I will only say the make of my own guitar, ha ha.

I've got a Garrison. Canadian make, have been really happy with it since I got it, and it's really pretty too, it has beautiful dark wood! I wanted something a bit more unique.
