Which is the best bank for travelers in Paris?

I'm moving to France for an indefinite period of time, and would like a bank that offers a safety deposit box (I want to store my passport and other documents maybe for years) and has internet access to my account to make transfers to my US account. Any suggestions?

I suggest BNP Paribas. It is  the largest bank network in France and is affilitated with BankAmerica. They have an English language website which you will find useful:
