Which is the best book for GMAT preparation?

Hi friends

I am an M.B.A student study in USA as an international student.

I have to take GMAT exam in next 6 months.

I want to prepare myself at home

Also I need 500 or more in my GMAT exam for qualify.

So which are the best book and sites for preparation of GMAT at home in USA?

  1. First, go get all three GMAT Official Guides. There is the general one, and then the smaller ones for quant and verbal. They each have different questions, and you need to get as many different questions as possible. All the questions in each book come from actual, former tests.

    Second, download the GMAT Prep software. It's two real CAT tests, and its free from MBA.com.

    Last, buy some study guides. I like the Manhattan GMAT books, but they are a bit short at times, and not necessarily written in the easiest way for self-study. If you want to dive in more deeply into certain subjects, Powerscore has books on sentence correction and critical reasoning that helped me. Here's how I'd break it down:

    Verbal CR and SC: Powerscore bibles

    Verbal RC and Math: Manhattan GMAT

    If you are looking for a high score, this is the direction to take.
