Myself and a group of friends are planning a trip right at the end of summer before we all part our own ways for university. We are looking to go somewhere in cornwall or devon (that sort of area). There is a reasonable sized group (about 10-20 of us) but we aren't coming for a drinking session or anything like that just somewhere with great scenery and somewhere where we can chill. Some of the guys surf, so surfing oportunities could be good!

  1. You need the North Coast of the Peninsula for surfing. Most young people like Newquay, but locals think it is tacky, and don't go there. Other suitable places are Widemouth Bay near Bude, Westward Ho! between Bideford and Barnstaple. Neither place has much but the beach, although there are other attractions within reasonable distance by bus (or would be better with a car).

For accommodation, think about John Fowler Caravan Holiday Park (Widemouth Bay) and Braddicks  Holiday Centre (Westward Ho!)
