  1. Any alpine model is great...The 9887 is a GREAT choice BUT be sure you read everything on this radio....You have no way of adjusting bass or treble without the "imprint" software  module. The 9887 you can gt for around $350 on ebay and the module or the "imprint" software is around $200-$250...so your looking at a total of $550 to $600.Goto Alpines website for info on this awesome NEW technology that ONLY alpine has. This software comes with a mic and it self adjust according to what kind of environment your car has....it actually measures which frequencies are being reflected and which ones that are being absorbed thus adjusting accordingly for optimal imaging!

I was short on funds and chose the 9885 and Im extremely happy...However,I SHOULD have got the 9886..BECAUSE it also has the ability to add the "imprint" software for future upgrading.I totally jumped the gun.As an ALPINE reciever fan...I would definately get the 9887 along with the module if you can afford it....If not, then go with the 9886. Good luck.Hope this helps.

Also....you will NOT be dissapointed.....phenominal sound quality...especially if you are using high end speakers like CDT,Focal,Boston acoustics. My advice to you is stay away from mainstream speaker brands for your doors or components....stick with High end car audio.....you can go with any mainstream brand for subs....that would be fine.

If you would like me to give you a list of Highend brands, email me and I will send you a list.I mentioned a few above....I have CDT and they are OUTSTANDING...CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND
