Which is the best country to live in to move to from the UK,?

We are thinking of moving from the UK to another country, we are in our 60s and want a quite life, any ideas

  1. yes...the French countryside...it's absolutely picturesque & the pace of life is slower...good food, good wine AND it is close to England if you want to pop back.

I could advise you Puglia in the south of italy and particularly the area (Salento) around Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli...breathtaking, the place is simply stunning, the food amazing, the pace of life slow, safe and pleasant...plus the people warm and kind....countryside full of olive trees....is perfect for a couple who is searching for good scenaries and peace....as well if you like sun bathing and the beach life (not crowded) is your paradise..

  4. Stay in the UK where else can you get free medical care, every other country you go to you would have pay for it, the climate is temperate in the UK, you would miss the country should you leave

  5. i like the USA we speak pracpractically same language have some of teh thee culture and customs. I know i live in a rural part of MO and i love it! Wide open spaces are my favorite places to be. but if you like the city the us has a lot of those too! wherever you go be sure you enjoy yourself and can talk to the people.

  10. Greece is lovely, the language is quite simple to pick up, and if not then the touristy places know English usually. The islands are beautiful, go on google for images. Hope that helped...xxxx

    Since i'm a native of Honduras i can tell you is very affordable living on the islands on the beach with a maid and still be able to enjoy the creature comforts of life.

  13. I like living in the United States.  It is peaceful and very beautiful in many parts.

  14. It depends upon your other criteria but have you considered Ireland? Advantages: The shops are the same,The language is the same, outside of the cities crime is virtually non existent , There are very few foreigners other than us Brits, House prices are falling faster than they are in the UK, There is no council tax, If you live rurally and have your own well sunk there are no water charges, you can import your car for free and it is a right hand drive country. Disadvantages. The weather is about the same as Manchester.

  16. Terrible to think that people are desperate to leave this country but that's what this government has done. I knew the day that this lot were voted in just what would happen but they have out stripped all of my expectations. If you feel you must then make sure it is country with no links to Europe.
