  1. i have a zebco 202 so i will recomend it

  2. zebco 33 but if it wa me i would use a spinning reel because all closed face reels such as the zebco 33 and 202 only work for a couple of month

  3. Z 33 it is a much better real, with metal gears and bearings the 202 is a cheap plastic toy with a short life span.Change your line wgt from the ten the 33 comes with to about 6lb at most maybe 4 cause the fish can see the line, trout have sharp eyes.Loosen the drag so if you hit a good one you won't lose him.You want it to just pull out line when you pull the line in front of the reel by hand without the cast button pushed..There are a couple of models of 33's.They should give you a few years of service and some people get 10 years out of them or more.

  4. Niether of those are really top or even medium notch reels, but the 33 is definitely better than the 202.  The 202 costs about 4 cents to manufacture...it's a piece of c**p.  The 33 is at least somewhat durable and isn't all plastic.

Personally, I find an ultra light spinning combo to work best when trout fishing in streams, unless you are fishing for steelhead...then it requires a much longer rod.

USMC is definitely correct; you should utilize lighter line when fishing for trout as their vision is extremely good.
