Which is the best for a military couple?

My husband is set to come back from his year tour in Iraq any day now. To celebrate I would really like to take a cruise this Dec (first part) since the rates are always good for military and cruises sell them a lot cheaper to fill up the rooms. I've called around and right now we have 3 cruises we are looking into . One is Carnival Holiday, Carnival Elation, and Disney Wonder. I have read reviews of all of them. The carnival cruises are almost 400 dollars cheaper then disney. I just want to know if the food, entertainment, etc is worth the extra money for a disney cruise.

Disney would be the best way to go for the food (quality) and entertainment is great.  Did you check with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity, these two cruise lines just came out with military rates as well.  If you need me to quote you a price, I would be most appreciative.  I give my hat off to all military fighting for our country.  I promise you the best price

I would go with Carnival and take the Elation over the Holiday.  Disney is a step up in quality but unless you have a 6yr old or you don't mind being surrounded by them, I would avoid them. The food and entertainment are fine on carnival.

Congratulations to your husband for making it out of Iraq with all of his limbs intact.  He is still going to need much psychological assistance from professionals.  He was not "fighting for our country" or to "protect our freedom" but was involved in an occupational force from our invasion.

He will not be able to give physical love to you for quite a while so do not force the issue.  

I would suggest going to a quiet retreat and just concentrate on being together and re-connecting as a couple.

Personally I don't care for the Disney line, there is no casino and I get enough of Mickey on a daily basis, I live in Florida.  I have heard good things about Carnival, but my personal preference is Holland America.  Good Luck KG
