I would suggest going to Lesvos. Not a very well known island but it is amazing!

Santorini....but make it October.....many of these little places close down for the winter at the end of October.

October in Rhodes can be really very nice, the weather is still very warm in the day and cool enough to sleep well at night.  It does quieten down especially right at the end of the month, but there's plenty to do and see; what's more you get some great bargains at that time of the year too.  Have a great holiday wherever you decide to go in the end,......................or try Marmaris in Turkey, it's warmer.

go to Serifos or Sifnos and or Milos

At that time of year, just about ANY Greek island will provide you with a quiet vacation.  Some islands even close up their shops and restaurants by that time.  

How about Rhodes or Crete??

Most islands will be deserted and the sea will not be calm and sunny at this time of year. so it is better to go to an island that has an adequate local population, like Syros or Rhodes.

In Sifnos or Serifos it is quite possible that you will not find any restaurant open.
