Casa Camper is a new one done out very nicely they have their own website

Also Hostel Dali has recently been done up and is very reasonably priced. It is right in the gothic quarter just off The Ramblas

i stayed on in a hotel called the manderin right in the centre for about 56 pounds a night... it was cheap 'cos they where doing it up... but i doubt it will have gone up hugely.  this time of year the prices will have dropped.  the refit was really nice by the way... it was a four star.

The area around the Gaudi Park is much cheaper than in the centre, it is a really nice area good food and it is really easy to walk catch the metro to see other tourist attractions.

It feels a bit more like the real barcelona.

Check out the discoveriberia.com, the site has good reviews and recommendations for small but very nice hotels in barcelona.

Check out the Expedia site. Have stayed in and would recommend Trypp Apollo on Avenida Paralello - next to Ramblas and near the port. Quiet, excellent service, multi cultured tourist and business.
