This is a hard question to answer. BTW I teach a class at the local Community College. It is called Build A Successful Internet Based Business. It is taught all over the world in colleges as part of the continuing ed programs of many colleges.

This is a hard question because an internet based business is like any other, a business. Although it costs less than a brick and mortar business, it does cost time and commitment.

The failure rate is like all other businesses.

Are all internet businesses scams? Far from it.

As to the best...that depends on what your passionate about. What ever it is, you will then need to learn it and work it. You develop a theory and test it. If it fails, you try a different one.

For instance, I had a theory on a book I could sell on the web. Before paying a lot of money to advertise through numerous channels, I tested it. Turns out only 38 people were interested. I needed hundreds in the test market.

So what was the problem? My presentation, timing, or product.

By testing it, I didn't spend everything to jump in and fail.

If you want to see if building a website is for you, build a Squidoo Lense and you can start making money from them.

If you like it, then look into starting a web site. Most of those who I know make between $1000 to $$4000 per month. Most took a few years to get there.

Another great business model is MLM. Find a product you can be passionate about and run with it. Learn how to sell on the web and you will really do good. Still, it will require a lot of work.

Some will say the odds of making money on MLM are slim. That is a logical fallacy. Odds are related to games of chance. Your success is dependent on how hard you work.

Some say only people at the top make all the money. Think of it, what business model is there that that is not true of. Most CEO's make in a day what everyone else makes in a year.

Actually there is one business model where the person in the middle can make more than those above them. MLM.

One acquaintance makes 20K per month (took five years of hard work to get there and he is still working hard) He makes more than the guy who signed him up.

If you learn how to work your MLM on the internet, that is how to really speed up your success. Only thing, it is still building a business and you need to plan on a couple of years of hard work.

The best internet business Irene is the one that makes you the most money with the least amount of start up money. The one that sparks the passion in you to succeed, the one that you will wake up to every morning and be excited about getting started. Then and only then will you know what the best business is for you. I was able to retire at a early age due to the success of a business I started from home and now devote my time to helping as many serious people I can achieve the same success. Most, if not all those online adverts for homebased businesses are scams. The only home based online business that makes real money is selling people the idea of home businesses.

I know a number of people with successful home based businesses.

Basically start with what you know or have. Here are 3 examples.

1. Home made foods, eg jams, chutneys etc, to be sold in markets and tourist shops (good if you live in a small town).

2. Sports memoribilia (I knew a guy who sold Australian rugby league sports things to fans in the UK).

3. Cross stitch patterns...not net based, but most of her customers were found through magazines in France.

Health...you could do online consulting, fill in a form, get a health assessment and personal coaching via email and chat.

Really, there is no magic way to make money, most bank robbers are idiots with guns who get caught before they even leave the bank.

You want to do business, think it through carefully and come up with a solid strategy.

And there are lots of home businesses, including caligraphy, menu design etc etc etc.

when my poss fired me from my job. then I started searching online through internet to fine and oppurtunity to do online internet job then after a month.
