To me I think Cuba is a good choice,because nice food nice water.I had been there only once by the way.

Well, I live in NZ.  The only time I've been to the Caribbean was when I was travelling around the States.  I got as far as Key Largo, Florida, and ran low on gas and money so I went back to Miami.  If I had enough money for a Caribbean holiday, I'd choose Cuba.  Rum, interesting food, I can speak a little Spanish, and a safe environment.

Theres not much going on in Guadeloupe, I checked it out and thought of going there b/c of french schools.  Go to a country with a strong culture Cuba/ Dominican/Haiti/Jamaica.  These are basically the best places in the Carribean.  Haiti is too dangerous, so I don't recommend going there now, but in my experience you rather go somewhere with culture.  And I never meet anyone who came back unhappy from Jamaica.  In fact many expats going back there even though it means a huge pay cut.  It has a very good culture.

For an European it is Martinique and Guadeloupe, since they belong to France, and therefore European rights are established there. Travel is easier, no passport or visa required, you can bring back more cheap cigarettes (800), in case of trouble with your hotel you can apply before a French court and have no problems in dealing with a banana republic.
