Which is the best place to do a distance learning course in Uk??

Question

I want to do a course in Human resource, Customer Relation and Business Management. Which is a good centre to do it from?? Which is recognised worldwide.

My sarcastic side says : Surely the best place to do a distant learning course is from home?!

However, the rest of me suggests Open University as a good point to start. It's what they do best. Or call up the HR dept of a market leader in a field that interests you and ask for advice. Sometimes, if it is a company you are interested in working for, they will consider supporting you through it while working part time. Then you have the best of both worlds, qualification and experience. To get ahead in HR, like manythings you need to get as much of both as you can. Textbooks are not the real world!

The Open University is the UK's largest provider of distance learning courses, and they are reputable. The University of London also offers several programs, via their external programmes. U of L is highly reputable, and because the degree is granted from an actual brick-and-mortar university, it may have more cache and a better rep, internationally, than the Open University.

My colleague has just finished a degree in business management with the Open University. You don't necessarily have to do the whole degree, you can do a certificate in it with them:

The OU has a great reputation in terms of research, both in the UK and overseas.
