  1. When visiting my boyfriend's parents we once went to a small restaurant near Bethnal Green Tube called the Cherry tree (?). It is behind the London Buddhist Centre on Roman Road. I liked it. But you can go to any Chinese or Japanese restaurant and they will have a good vegetarian food choice. Two nice Japanese ones I can recommend are Aki in Gray Inn's Road and Hazuki near Trafalgar square.

  2. At home

  3. Chai Pani in marble arch.....pure veg

  4. Cranks

  5. Rajen's in West Hendon, not the most glamarous part of town but most definitely the best tasting vegeterian food. And if you happen to drop into Rajen's on a thursday you may be treated to some live music.

  6. Try a high class greengrocers

  7. Get a bacon sarnie down your neck... and stop being a freak !!!

  8. London Zoo caters for a lot of vegitarian diets.

  9. Govindas in Soho street w1.

delicious food and very reasonable prices.

  10. Eat and Two Veg on Marylebone road is a goodun but for cheap and cheerful try Indian Veg on Chapel market near Angel tube. 3 quid buffet, all you can eat. oh yes!

  11. I got an amazing box of stir fry with deep fried tofu, mushrooms and courgette today at the grain store in Portobello Road. For pudding, a lemon curd and date slice. Yummy!

  12. The Gate in Hammersmith.

  13. Hmmm lots of grass and trees in hyde park

  14. My favorite is Woodlands Marylebone

    77 Marylebone Lane

    London

Just because you're up in town doing the Oxford Street shopping thing or the Madame Tussaud's touristy thing doesn't mean you have to fall into a fast-food joint, especially if your sensibilities tend away from meat. Because there's Woodlands! A wonderful South Indian vegetarian and vegan restaurant waiting to tempt you with the delights of this lovely cuisine. The zig-zagging interior is smart and uncluttered with lime-coloured walls and wooden floor, and a skylight at the back. Woodlands attracts quite a starry array of diners, including the Pakistani cricket team, as well as adoring business folk and locals. Try starters like vegetable samosas, quick-fried battered spicy cashewnuts, or lentil doughnuts in yoghurt, main courses gorgeous dosas - sort of Indian crepes - offered with a variety of fillings, like seasoned potato, onions, and peas, served with lentil soup and coconut chutney, or one of the special dishes like chickpeas in tomato and light masala sauce. Or just order one of the thalis and let the chefs decide for you!

The choice and quality of the food was fantastic I would also say it was very authentic. The service was good and the decor was relaxing.
