May is a good time.

Check out Dreams Cancun. They have a kids explorer club that is included in the all-inclusive price. Perfect for the 4 year old. They also have dolphins on site.

The beach water is calm for the 4 year old to enjoy. Check out the website.

Nice dining for the children too. They have an dining area for the children where they can see and help themselves to different food.

The staff is friendly and it's a lovely resort.

I would go when the prices drop. Usually after April 15 to Dec 15th. If you choose the summer, it's very hot and it's also hurricane season. My favorite time is May and June.

If you are not planning on getting a membership, I recomend you and your family to stay in at one of the Barcelo hotels (costa azul or Tucancun). They are pretty fancy, hospitality is great, and the beach and pools are great.

If you are willing to get a membership because you are planning on returning I would recommend getting a membership to the palace or sunset hotels.

there is a resort called blue bay & they have a family style place that is just awsome... We stood there a few years back... and it was the best ever
