Which is the best place to visit to beat the heat this summer ?

Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire. But definately, Maine. The seacoast is really nice and cool, as well as the interior forests to the north. It's amazing how much a range of temperature there is when there's no black top and a lot of trees. And the fresh air!!!

Visit your local homeless shelter.  The heat won't seem so bad compared to their lives.

This really depends where you are. If you are in the southern part of the US go to Minnesota it will seem a lot cooler. Washington State will also seem cooler ,and of course, there is Alaska but  do not go in July cause the Mosquitoes are  horrendous. Dry heat  feels better than humidity and heat ,but your best bet is to take a dip in the water if you can find a clean one.
