  1. Core 2 extreme is by far the greatest. Its a quad core processor that runs at about 3.0Ghz and up..

Core 2 duo can satisfy most needs... But if you plan to run extensive programs(Heavy gaming, editing, etc) I would go for a quad. Quad core Intels are pretty cheap now. And great speeds.

AMD is still a little behind Intel... I currently have an AMD but Im looking at getting an Intel laptop

  2. to me, its the 2 duo quad. i think that is a great one

  3. If you working with Windows...go ahead with latest Intel processor.

  4. intel core2 duo extreme

  5. Hey look there is no difference between the core 2 quad and 2 extreme in their bus speeds its a small difference in cache size. I suggest u stick to the AMD Phenom X4 its almost like the quad core the difference is that:

    1. The quad core has only 2 channels whilst the Phenom X4 has 3 channels

    2. The AMD processors where made based on a technology of about 730 nanometer while the Intel used 540 nanometer which mean that the INTEL processors produce LESS heat than the AMD processors

I strongly recommend the AMD for u as it is better than the INTEL in any graphics, pictures or videos related.

    Hope i helped :)

  6. Right now, the best single CPU for a PC desktop would be the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775. It has four cores at a factory clock speed of 3.2GHz. The multiplier is unlocked for easier overclocking. It has 12MB of cache and runs at an FSB speed of 1,600MHz.

    Current price is around $1500.

AMD doesn't have a CPU that can touch it yet.

Intel uses the term "Extreme" to refer to their highest-end Core 2 CPUs, whether they have two or four cores. Outside of the Extreme line, Core 2 CPUs with two cores are called 'Duo's and those with four cores are called 'Quad's.

The 'Extreme' line gets new clock frequencies, FSB speeds, and cache sizes before the the other lines do. They also have an unlocked multiplier, which sometimes makes overclocking easier or lets you overclock them further.

  7. Quad Core Phenom 9550 Quad Core => Rs.7200

best performance and its the latest one..

  8. ya dual core is best

  9. Core 2 extreme is a quad core people..  It will out perform anything on the market today unless you are using a duel cpu setup.

  10. Extreme edition processors are very expensive.  They are meant for PC Performance Enthusiasts who like to overclock their equipment.

The only difference between a Core2Duo and an Extreme Edition is that the Extreme has an unlocked multiplier.  This allows for easy overclocking.  A regular Core2Duo can overclock as well, but through different means.

The best CPU depends on what you want to do.  If you just want to play games, and fast speed processor will due.  But if you multi-task and you know how to assign tasks to different cores, than a quad core would be best.

    Hope this helps.
