I like the small joints cuz their food's quite authentic. There is one such joint at CMH rd, M K Retail. I always get kerala food from there.

there are two places which immediately come to mind. one is the Windsor Pub near the Cantt station. another place is Karavalli in The Gateway Residency on Residency road.
