2 years ago I bought a crappy snowboard and bindings for abt $400 to learn on~ have been to the snow about 7 times over the last 2 years~ with lots of lessons and couple of fractured ribs later i can now do intermediate runs comfortably and will be trying out black ones this year both in NSW and in NZ~ at the beginning of next year will possibly go to japan for some true powder too!

Since mid-season last year I have invested in a good pair of bindings and will soon upgrade to a pair of DC double boa boots (can't ever do my laces up tight enough!!), so all that's left now is a good new board!!

I want to get an all mountain board that i will be able to stick with from now on and one that i'll be able to use for all 3 countries mentioned above........is this even possible? am i asking too much!?

Anyways, any suggestions?

Oh, and I am 170cm tall and weighs about 58kg~

  2. Get a Ride Vista or a Ride Grace if you are on a tighter budget. Great boards and very light - my friend has a Ride Vista and loves it.

Try this calculator for size and board suggestions:

    Good Luck

  3. I highly recommend Nitro boards. I had their low end women's board for 3 seasons (30-60 days/nights per season), and it is still a good board, and still looks pretty good too. I did get a new Nitro board this year, a Carrara. It is an all mountain board. It is very light and turns great, and as the reviews say, it is "fast as h**l". That board should carry you through several seasons and in all the countries you mentioned.

I'm 5'6" and weigh about 150 lbs. and ride a 153 cm. They have a height/weight chart for their boards. You might also consider the Fate as it is more flexible than the Carrara and might be better suited to your lower weight/height ratio.

  4. I'd look into Palmer, they have some amazingly light honeycomb boards that would work great for you.... http://www.palmersnowboards.com/palmer/e...
