i have maxell prox discs dvd-r 1-16x

recently been having problems with the discs

so which is the best speed to download with ,i use a laptop

  2. It's highly variable, but half the maximum speed of the recorder should be safe. The quality of the discs is probably the most important factor. I've been using Taiyo Yuden discs with excellent results. You can get them at MeritLine
