  1. The A470 is pretty cool.


  2. The A1 from Northumberland heading North has some nice views, but its the best as it leads to Scotland :-)

  3. The A2.  It gets you out of Medway.

  5. what sort of best ... best scenery, best easy motoring, best because it's least crowded?

    the nicest motorway by a long way is the M5 toll ... it's expensive but worth it for being so uncrowded

    there's loads of roads with beautiful scenery ... for instance the road leading up to Scotland via Carter Bar

  6. The A49 between Hereford and Warrington was a great road before speed cameras...
