I'm combining coursework in sociology, anthropology, women's studies, history, geography, and political science to create a program of study examining the processes of globalization, development, and other elements of global social change.

So...which seems like the best title for my major?

1. International Studies

(Nice, but perhaps too broad)

2. International Social Studies

(Less broad, but "social studies" sounds like something from elementary school)

3. International Social Change

(Less broad still, but sounds like it has an agenda attached to it)

Opinions would be much-appreciated! Please suggest other names, too, if you can think of any good ones.

  1. I would suggest:

    Worldview integration.

  2. Really it sounds like you are just adding a few more classes to a sociology/anthropology base.

I'm not sure how you are creating anything here, I think you should stick to a major in one or the other, or you could get a major in one and minor in the other.

If I had to name it though, I think I would suggest something that includes: International Social Development and Effects, not these words exactly but something that includes them clearly.
