  1. I have used a Gladiator Beast deck before, and it is pretty effective.  Dark World Decks are very good as well, but the problem with coming to a shortage of cards available to use in your hand comes to be a problem if you hapen to discard too many cards that are later destroyed by your opponent.  Even worse is the Macro Cosmos card that sends everything out of play, which is commonly used in those DD decks.  But being able to discard an opponent's facedown card and special summon Goldd simultaneously works very well and whatnot.  A Deck centered around indirect damage with Bad Reaction to Simochi has given me a lot of wins as well, and if you want to be really cheap (not as in the opposite as expensive), you can use Evil Hero Dark Gaia in conjunction with that Demise of Armageddon card.  I have also used Six Samurai decks, encountered them, but am not all too familiar with them.  Monarch Decks with Flip-effect cards such as Penguin Soldier work out really nicely, especially when you throw in Treeborn Frog and Brain Control for easy tributes, since the rest of the decks mentioned usually gets swamped by Jinzo.  Level Up decks are really nice too, but it drains the deck pretty fast.  I have also tried one NecroValley-Gravekeeper deck, but it didn't go uot too nicely.

So I'd really suggest a Dark World deck, a Monarch deck, or a Indirect Damage deck (that's what I call it at least) over all that I have mentioned.  Gladiator Beast deck > Crystal Beast deck in my opinion, because Crystal Beast decks rely too much on monsters compared to Magic and Trap cards, which have a major support on any Yu-Gi-Oh deck.

  2. i know almost no one will agree with me but THE BEST OPTION IS TO COMBINE THEMES. i personally combined burn with spell/trap negation, destiny board, and a little chaos too.

if you want a deck list email me please i love telling people of this successful combination.

you can ask any of my friends who play advanced format my deck is quite powerful as they have faced the coldness of defeat many times.

  3. There is no such thing as a best Yugioh deck theme. Honestly, neither of those are really competitive compared to other decks. I really can't do well at tournaments even with my Crystal Beast deck. I would have to say try to build one of these decks:

*Six Samurai deck, as they can destroy anything really easily and they are hard to destroy.

*Lightsworn deck, I faced one with my Crystal Beasts and it beat me in 5 turns, and I had a good starting hand, too.

*Dark Armed Dragon decks, those things are almost unbeatable. I can't think of anything that could beat it.

As for the G-beast/C-beast dispute, they are each good in their own way. I would say CBs, but I have such a deck myself, so I'm a little biased. All I can tell you is this:

Crystal Beasts are based on being able to transform into Continuous Spells. They are mostly known for Rainbow Dragon, Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins, and Crystal Abundance. Their weaknesses include Spell/Trap destructuion and the fact that many of the Crystal support cards rely on recovering cards from or sending cards to the graveyard. Also, they are quite weak against burn decks.

Gladiator Beasts are all about tagging out to put out other Gladiator Beasts. Those Gladiator Beasts then activate one of a variety of effects, like a Toolbox deck. They are great when used correctly, but can get pretty annoying when a person spends 5 minutes looking through his deck trying to figure out what gladiator to summon. Their weaknesses include that most are Special Summoned, they require battle to switch out, they mostly have low ATK scores, Decklock was created specifically to stop them, and they are usually protected by one of two Trap cards (keyword Trap

  4. I've heard that gladiator beast decks kick butt, but i've heard some pretty good thing about crystal beast decks.but it just depends on which one you would feel more comfortable with.
