well pound for pound NL has worst teams like Pirates, Reds, Nats, Padres lol :)) (sorry couldnt help my self) Giants :)) Astros, Braves

where as the AL has Seatle, Royals, Indians, J's & O's

but than again NL has better pitchers like Santana, Zambrano, Webb, Lincecum, Peavey, Young, Dempster, Haren, Billingsly and CC

and alot of good hitters like Holiday, ManRam, Howard, Pujols, Wright, Utley, Glaus, Delgado, Beltran, Fielder, Jones, Lee

and the AL has pitchers like Matsu, Saunders, Lester, Lee, Duchser, Haladay, Masina, Danks, Sheets

and some hiter like Cabrera, Youkilis, ARod, Guerrero, Pena, Sizemore, Hamilton,Ordonez, Ortiz, Mauer & Texsera??

it seems that NL has worse teams but better pitchers and better batters what do you think

  1. AL is far better!

The NL seems to have better pitchers, but they also get to pitch against bad players, bad teams, and pitchers.

  2. the fact that they don't play each other often and one league allows dh makes this question pointless.

  3. I think that the NL is better the only reason half those players go to the AL is so that they don't need to feild and still get to hit

  4. NL cuz they got the Cubs

  5. No question the AL has been the best league for the last few years.

  6. I personally feel you can't compare the two leagues. They play a different game with the DH in the AL.

  7. I agree you can not really compare the two league, since they don't play the game the same way.

  8. The AL doesn't really play baseball. They play a hybrid type of baseball with a designated hitter batting for the pitcher therefore removing much of the strategy that makes the game so interesting.

You can't compare the two leagues as they play a diffrent game. Even in interleague play the teams are not evenly matched as the AL teams are stocked with big, beefy power hitters and the NL is built for speed and defence.

  9. AL. Look to the All-Star games for proof...

  10. well the AL this year is definitely  the better league, granted the NL does have a lot of the best pitchers, but there is not offense to back them up, unlike the AL there is a lot more offense, and the pitchers can last longer since they do not have to bat and run and all that

  11. AL  is by far, stronger and better than NL. It kind of reminds me of Basketball. The Mighty West against the Weak East. Thats the AL vs The NL. Better pitching, hitting you name it. Perfect example is CC Sabathia. He is having a party in NL, hardly giving up hits, and runs. The NL isnt as deep as AL.

  12. I think the Al is better because every game is exciting and the standings pretty much all over the AL are close ( except the west). All of the teams in the Al have a lot of great pros on each team and the teams have great pitching and bullpens. The teams are always coming back in the standings and even in the games. I think that the games aren't as exciting for me when i watch the NL but then again they all are fun 2 watch and Nl has lots and lots of great players but when u watch the AL u see our favorite payers trying 2 play every game.

  13. AL

  14. it all comes down to the dh.  In the american league teams have the luxury of having a offensive superstar who doesn't field.  The same roster spot in the National league is taken by a middle reliever.  Fact is if you can't be somewhat productive on the field, you won't last long in the NL.

  15. You can't really compair 2 different leagues when one uses DH and one doesn't. The AL have been winning all the All-Star games latley which basically makes them look better. I would probably take the Great AL hitters and pitchers over NL too.

  16. AL has better teams, NL has better players.

If the NL would have a DH, they would be better.

  17. Well if you go from inter-league play, which is the only thing you can compare. Then I would say The A.L. is better

  18. AL :(

And they have been for quite a few years
