Which is the better sport, soccer or football?

personally, I feel that football is more interestinf to both play and watch. But i get enough people arguing with me about it that i fell the neccessity to bring up the question

i like soccer more, i play it so i relate to it. i like to watch football, but i think u njoy watching a sport on a completely differnt level wen u play it. in soccer i luv the foot work, skill, and the adrenaline. football has a lot more to do w/ the plays u choose, speed, strength, and power. but with soccer u use ur mind in completely different way,and ur always on ur toes.

i like soccer more because there are less stops in the game. a lot of people think soccer players are wimpy but i have yet to see a football player who can run for 90 minutes straight

i like to watch football but i don't think i ever saw an entire game. there's so many commercials i find it hard to concentrate on the game, there's never more than 30 seconds of consecutive play, even though i like football nothing can compete with the real football(soccer) its fun to play and watch, unlike American football which is only fun to play

I really applaud you though...I assumed that your extension on this question would be something like..."American football is so much better!  Soccer sucks!"...a lot of American football fan users I encounter on here have really nasty comments on this board...but you seem very respectful! :)

just cause the players have to think on their feet basically never know what could happen

most of the time don't have a one sided game 1-0 vs. 54-12

Soccer in my opinion is way better than football, i played both and soccer is harder you need to be thinking quickly and have many roles one mistake by one player can cost you the game to watch football might be more exciting sometimes cause of the high scoring but playing it deffinetaly goes to soccer

I love football but there is something about watching a 3 hour game when less than 30 minutes of it is actually being played.

At least in soccer you get 90+ minutes of consistant play.

I'm guessing you're American as the rest of the world knows soccer is football! And since the rest of the world love watching and playing soccer and only one continent watch or play AMERICAN football, soccer is clearly the better sport!
