Which is the better type of boat, a Jon Boat or Deep-V Hull.?

  1. Depends on your usage> What you haul it with> JB are shallow water calm stable boats> Deep Vee draw more water need more HP to push cost more>


  2. depnds on what you want it to do  if you want to use it in shallow water and calm water get the jon if the water can get sloppy and its not to shallow get the v hull

  3. Go with the jon-boat.

  4. I am  a fan of the Jon boat. The deep -v hull is suited for the rougher waters and smoother ride on the rough waters, but the Jon boat suits my style of fishing, which is fresh water bass fishing and hunting out of. The front is squared off, giving me more room for fishing. The boat will also let you get off on dry land in the swamps , because of the design of the front of the boat , allowing the bow to extend to dry land and not run aground like the deep -v hull will- then you have to wade the final few feet, unless the bank allows easier access to it then it normally does. I'm sure that others will have a different opinion, but for a swamping boat in the Louisiana bayous, the Jon boat is my choice!
