Which is the cause and which is the result?

On the topic of bad toilet habits,

which do you think is the cause and which is the result:

A: people who are irresponsible and absolutely incapable of cleaning up after themselves by simply FLUSHING THE TOILET, or B: automatically flushing toilet bowls.

Just wondering!

You and my son have a lot of toilet fixations.

Weather you flush the toilet, without first cleaning yourself,

or clean yourself without flushing the toilets OR THE toilet bowls flush automatically before you have had the chance to cleanup your act, will result in the same thing.'

thats the disadvantage of technology; people would become lazy because of technology, they would not do anything even just flushing... can't explain further

There may be more than simple cause and effect here, considering there are probably other reasons auto-flush toilet bowls might be desirable, one possibly being the reduced cost of cleaning materials and janitor hours even if users are responsible. Probably more than two parts to this mess, so to speak.
