Hello amigos. I´m trying to find the best value way home from South America to the UK, either via Spain or the US, I´m easy, time taken isnt critical. Just want to keep the price as low as possible. Happy to fly from Santiago, Buenos Aires, Rio, Lima....etc.

Cheers guys!

  1. I would avoid the states.

Any flight going to the US from another country is becoming a huge hassle and your just submitting yourself to baggage search...and all these new limitations and rules..

I would choose the Madrid route....

I know Avianca offers direct flights to Madrid from Bogota...

Once in Madrid... you can use one of those No Frills Airlines like Easyjet or RyanAir to get urself to the UK.

So..you'll be paying for one long haul flight and the cheap no frills flight....

If you come to the states....I would say fly to NYC...because there constant flights to Heathrow from JFK.....(which is potentially cheaper).
