  1. The "New York" in each team's name is referring to New York City.

The Yankees play at 161st Street and River Avenue, in the Bronx.  The Bronx is a borough of New York City.

The Mets play between Roosevelt Avenue, Northern Boulevard, the Grand Central Parkway, and the Van Wyck Expressway, in Flushing, Queens.  Queens is a borough of New York City.

Each team is currently building a new stadium.  Each new stadium is just a good centerfielder's throw away from the current one.

  2. Yankees= Bronx,NY

    Mets= Flushing(Queens),NY

  3. Both are in the city

Mets Play in Brooklyn or is it the Queens?

and the Yankees play at the Bronx

  4. uh, mikemike...the Mets play at Shea Stadium in Queens (right beside Laguardia Airport, definitely still in New York.

You're thinking of the Giants and Jets, both of whom, I believe, play out of the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

    Yankees play in the Bronx.

  5. Both are the city, but if you are unfamiliar with New York it can be a little confusing. New York City is made up of five 'boroughs' - Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.

So even though someone says the Yankees play in the Bronx and the Mets play in Queens - both teams are still in New York City. New Yorkers themselves self-identify quite strongly with the borough in which they live.

  6. the yankees is the state the stadium is located in the bronx

mets stadium is acctually across the river in new jersey

  7. Yankees and Mets are both considered  NYC teams, however, the NFL football Giants are now the New York-New Jersey Giants, and their stadium is in the Meadowlands of NJ.

  8. Both the City

  9. Both are the City.  Yankees play in the Bronx and the Mets in Queens

  10. Both teams are in NYC. The Yankess play in the Bronx and the Mets play in Queens.  Their stadiums are abount 17 miles apart

  11. The city and state is New York, NY.

The Mets are in the borough of Queens, and the Yankees are in the Bronx borough. The Dodgers were in the burrough of Brooklyn, and the Giants (baseball) were in the borough of Manhattan.

  12. Yankees are in the bronx and the mets are in queens so they are both in the city and they both represent the state but the Yankees name is owned by New york city that is why Steinbener has never moved them out of the NYC cause he would have to chang names

  13. I don't know what you're asking. It should be obvious, they're both in New York. The Yankees are in the Bronx, and the Mets are in Queens.

How is that hard to understand?
