Which is the fastest way to get to Gokarna from Mumbai?

I've found out that I could go to Madgaon via the Konkan Kanya from Mumbai, and then take another train (name unknown) to Gokarna. But that takes too long. Any other suggestions??

The fastest way will be a flight to Goa

from there take a taxi to Gokara, will take maybe 3 hours. Alternatively take the train to Karmar and taxi from there.
