  1. The Liverpool Street Station in Manchester. The Station was built in 1830 and is the oldest railway station in the world


  2. I forget where, (England?) but there was the earliest station at a world's fair type of event where they demonstarted the steam technology and offered rides on an engine on a circular track. The station of this "ride" was the first.

  3. The very first stations as we now know them were on the Stockton & Darlington Railway in England. Initially, they used existing shops or inns. One of the first of these was at the inn called 'The Fighting c***s' in the village of Middleton-St-George. It is still standing, althought the line has long since gone.
