I've been to Tobago on numerous occasions and am now looking to go to another island for a holiday which is again still relatively undeveloped.

  1. FIRST HAITI IS AN ISLAND THAT'S THE NAITIVE INDIAN OR ARAWAK NAME OF HISPANOLA. BUT REPUBLIC OF  HAITI IS NOT AN ISLAND. IT SHARES HISPANOLA WITH THE DOMINICAN REP. THE LEAST DEVELOPED BUT NOT THE CHEAPEST. UNDERDEVELOPED DOES NOT MEAN LOW COST OF LIVING. BECAUSE WE IMPORT EVERYTHING SO YOU WILL PAY IT AT A HIGHER COST THAN IF YOU WERE GETTING IT FROM THE US, CANADA OR ANYWHERE ELSE. I LIKE TO LAUGH WHEN PEOPLE SAY HAITI. THEY HAVE NO IDEA  OF WHAT IS IT TO LIVE THERE, THEY  HEARD IN THE NEWS THAT IT'S A POOR COUNTRY SO THEY THINK THAT WE CAN SURVIVE THERE WITH 5 CENTS. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU HAVE $ 10 YOU CAN'T BUY A USB FLASH DRIVE IN HAITI BECAUSE IT COST $20 THERE, 2GB IS $30 AND 4 GB IS $100 SO IT 'S WHAT YOU CALL CHEAP? THE SAME GOES FOR FOOD AND THE REST. WE DON'T MAKE ANYTHING SO WHEN YOU ARE BUYING FROM US WE ARE JUST RETAILIERS. WE HAVE TO COVER THE COST OF BUYING THE GOODS IN THE US, TARIFF ADN SO ON

  2. Virgin Island, Beautiful!

  3. pretty sure its the island st john.

its the smallest, least populated, and therefore, least developed.

  4. the one your on

  5. i would say haiti

  6. My husband says Guadaloupe, Grenada, Antigua. These are a few. He's a scuba diver. You may want to look these up and see what you think.

  7. the Virgin Islands are not undeveloped but its beautiful

  8. just guessing and saying Haiti, since its the poorest country in the western hemisphere

  9. all of them

  10. Dominica

  11. French Dominica....  It is said to be the only island in the Caribbean that Christopher Columbus would still recognise.

Dominica lies between Guadeloupe (France) and Martinique (France)....

  12. Well Haiti is indeed below the poverty level, but if you are looking for a place which is more of a "land that time forgot" without the poverty, might I suggest Saba. Located South of St. Maarten and St. Barths, it bascically a rock soaring straight out of the water. The locals live at the top in a little village and you have to take a narrow sinuous road to get to the top. Take about 20 minutes to get to the top by car. Great diving, great hiking (takes about 2 hours to hike to the top from the village). Very quiet little town and people are very friendly. Cute hotels there, definitely not a pretentious vacation spot.

  13. curacao is very undeveloped plz enjoy.

  14. The southwest of Dominican Republic is still virgin land.  The tourists tend to go to the north {Puerto Plata/Punta Cana}, the east {Bavaro}, or Santo Domingo.  But, when you head from Barahona to the west, it is beautiful, tourist-free land.  Not to mention, the awe-inspiring view of two-toned blue watered beaches to the left and gorgeous, green mountains to your right {that is, if you're traveling west, of course}.

  15. I don't know who the clowns who are voting come from but definitely not from the Caribbean. They are voting thumbs up on the good answers and thumbs down on the bad ones. Guadeloupe is definitely not ..and far from being one of the most underdeveloped islands in the Caribbean. It's a French department for God's sake, it abides by the same standards as the rest of France. Answers about Dominica are pretty accurate.  Haiti as well although it's a different situation because it's a poverty issue unlike Dominica so it really depends if you are asking for living condition or purely for vacationing purposes. ie .. I wouldn't really recommend Haiti for vacation although if you are looking for a vacation spot that fits your criterias I might suggest St. Lucia
