Question:

Which is the length of a plant stoma: 2μm or 20μm?

I made an error in my calculations for some biology coursework and I need to know whether my results should be 1.8μm, 2.5μm, etc or whether they should be 18μm, 25μm, etc...

The plants concerned are Laurel and Cherry, and by length I mean the fixed length of the open gap that is the stoma (not the width, which varies with degree of opening).

Thank you!

  1. I haven't looked at the stomata of Laurel or Cherry, but having viewed the stomata of many other plants, it's most likely your measurements are 18 and 20.
