  1. m6 and the biggest nightmare apart from m25

  2. The longest continuous motorway in the England bearing the same number throughout is the M6 from junction 19 of the M1 motorway near Rugby to junction 44 just north of Carlisle (A74/A7 junction). Total of 225 miles.

The M6 is currently being extended to meet the M74 at the Scottish Border, which will add 7 miles.

(The M4 is 202 miles long, but much of this is in Wales. The M1 is 189 miles long and the M5 a mere 170 miles long.)

EDIT : To LN - The M1 goes nowhere near Scotland, ending over 160 miles from the border

  3. think its the m1/a1

    London-scotland

  4. m5 perhaps?

  5. M6 - Carlisle to way down South (not Cornwall but close to!)
