I have been dating my boyfriend for over a year now. He has never met my father. My father lives far away. I always talk to my dad about my boyfriend. My dad is turning 60 and I am having gifts sent to him and sending a card. Is it okay to sign my boyfriend's name on his card when they dont know each other and never met? Or should I just sign it with my name only and not put his? Which is the right way? I appreciate your help!

  1. just sign it with your name but you could say "boyfriends name" says happy birthday but dont sign his name that would be weird.

  2. The card should be signed by whomever paid and chose the gift. If it was you, just you sign it. If it was him, then just he should sign it. If you shopped together and chipped in for it, then both should sign.

  3. if you bought it together then add his name. If not, just sign your name. I would also do the token gift idea. That's a good one.

  4. I would sign the card together.

  5. has he helped pay towards the gifts..................if yes add his name............. if not then no but maybe get a token gift from your boyfriend for him to sign a card and write the tag

  6. If you are together, sign the card together!!!!

  7. Why not include a photo of you two?  It will help break the ice and your dad would probably really appreciate it.
