  1. The different public transport companies in and around Vienna are combined to one rate and ticket system. So you are able to go by underground, trolley, bus or local train with only one ticket. You only pay per the numbers of tariff zones you need, but the city of Vienna is one zone and so additional tariff zones only needed if you are traveling outside of the city.

    You can get...

single tickets € 1,50 (one zone) (€ 2,00 if you pay the ticket directly in the bus or train)

4 strip ticket € 6,- (each strip is valid for one time in one zone, so you can use it to go 4 times in one zone ore for example 2 times to 2 zones)

    8 strip ticket € 12,-

If you are using the public transport frequently the best option will be a "time ticket". These tickets are only be valid for the Vienna city zone, but mostly enough.

    24 hours card € 5,-

    72 hours card "sightseeing" € 12,-

    8 day card € 24,-

You will get the tickets at counter desks and ticket machines for example at train stations.

  2. Vienna has a wonderful public transport system and everybody speaks English so you should have to problema to move around.

  3. Dear Vicky if you go to Vienna I must tell you that you must to visit Zagreb, Croatia. Zagreb is one of the most beautiful towns in Eastern and Central Europe. Croatians are great…. You must to believe me

Zagreb is near Vienna (3 hours with car).

I wish you good time in Zagreb:))))))

  4. Well, you can go by train, but that's complicated. There's the u-bahn, Strassen bahn and lots more. Have fun!
