  1. Diesel is more environmentally friendly for 2 reasons.

    1) Lower emissions.  Though diesel has higher emissions per volume than gasoline (a.k.a. petrol), it has a much higher fuel economy.  Overall diesel creates roughly 15% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than petrol.

Diesel used to have a problem with large amounts of other particulate emissions (such as sulfur), but the invention of ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) has solved this problem.

    2) Diesel cars also have the option of running on biodiesel, which is much more environmentally friendly than either gasoline or petroleum-based diesel.

  2. diesel is more environmentally friendly because diesel has lower emmisions than petrol

  3. Using current fuels, neither since both have seriously damaging emissions. The Diesel, however, has the best chance of being more environmentally friendly since it can use fuels such as Bio-diesel, which has a much better effect on the environment. Bio-diesel is from oils from plants grown now, such that the net carbon monoxide addition to the atmosphere is zero since what was added can be removed by plants growing now.

  4. The most efficient way to fuel a car or truck these days is with propane!!!!!. Where i live allot of vehicles use propane,it is very easy and inexpensive  to convert takes about 30 minutes and can be switched back to gasoline with the turn of a k**b. also with almost ZERO emmissions.

you can run a 1/2 to pick-up truck for about 900 miles on one small tank of propane no bigger than the tank on you grill.
