Colva is one of the most famous of all the Goan beaches. With 20 km. of white sand, the beach is famous for its scenic splendor. Given the title of the 'Queen of the Beaches', Colva has been the favourite beach spot for tourists from around the world. The temperature here ranges from 24 to 37 degrees celcius during the summers and 21 to 32 during the winters.

It depends on what you are looking at. The most popular beaches are in the north --- Baga, Anjuna, Calangute -- and are frequented by tourists almost throughout the year. Anjuna is also known for its all-night parties and the Saturday flea market. But the most beautiful beaches are in the south --- Palolem (aka Paradise Beach), Cabo De Rama, and Agonda. These beaches are peaceful and quiet.
