The Tower of London and Blackpool.

If you really want to see the best of the UK stay away from the tourist spots With the exception of  the great River Thames.

Recommended Visits:

York Minister and the City;

The lake district;

West Minister Abbey;

Lindesfarne and holy Island;

Durham Catherdal;

Winchester Cathedral;

Rosslyn Chapel;

The Firth of Forth Railway Bridge;

Windsor Castle and Runnymead;

Chester;

Loch Lomond anf Pitlochry;

St Andrews - the home of Golf;

The sussex downs...just beautiful;

The Lowrie exhibition in Salford;

The Derbyshire Dales;

Wold on Stow and the Cotswolds;

Oxford & Cambridge.

And last but not least the best football stadium in the world next to Barcelonas The Emmigrates Stadium that also boasts one of the best Football teams My beloved Arsenal..The Gunners.

I could go on about where to visit but what ever you do not go to Blackpool a more dirtier place your yet to find. Filthy.  

Have great trip if your coming to the Uk it is a great place despite of all you read and the people are great. Just don't go into places on your own and hang onto your belongings. But this advice can be applied for anyway

Yeah London, I get embarrassed when people from abroad want to visit, particular Americans, they think its gonna be Ye Olde London and get there its like some third world country.
