Football is the most popular sport in the world.. bcoz a football match maximum takes 2 hours to finish.

well worldwide, Football will be the answer, therefore i believe Football would be the more watched sport, all of South America plays and watches Football, but no one over there plays cricket, i like Football as well, i played Representitive Football as a kid, but i like Cricket better, its just my sport

First is Futbal or Futbol. Second comes Cricket sport.

Futbol - has over 3.5 billion people watch or are fans of this amazing sport.

Cricket sport - has over 3.2 billion people that watch or are fans of this second popluar sport of the world.

I like both sports bc, first Spain is the heart & backbone of Futbol.(Amen) Secondly, Sri Lanka Cricket brings passion & hopes for me to support & play cricket sport near you.(Amen)

EDIT: EVEN Australia almost won the Fifa World Cup 2006 however, those dirty Italians cheated the Aussies for semi-final but, i guess it happend to SL for 07 WC of cricket.

If you are asking Americans, most are not going to have a clue what Cricket is, And they are going to think football is something other than what we call soccer.

As for Me I prefer Cricket, at least to play, being a typical American, watching a game that lasts a week is way to long for my liking (yes I know only the test matches are that long... But still)

Cricket is my favorite sport.

I like it because it involves a logic mind. Bowlers are manipulating batsman, trying to force them into a particular shot. Batsman are trying to overcome this.

However, I believe Soccer/Football is most watched because you don't have to think.
