Which is the most scenic train journey - sydney to melbourne, melbourne to adelaide or adelaide to sydney?

Having done them all, I'd have to say Adelaide to Sydney, or Sydney to Adelaide.

The very best journey though is Sydney to Perth, which is via Adelaide, then across the Nullabour Plains - amazing!

Re Adelaide to Sydney, you go through the Blue Mountains and the outback (including Broken Hill).  Great scenery.

Again Adelaide to Sydney, you'll see more of Australia, and Sydney and Melbourne are just 2 big cities, Adelaide's a great little city to visit.
