  1. well if you would have come to our shop with bad brakes we would have tried our best not to let you drive it away like they must have anything dealing with brakes is most important... what i would do is go to another shop so rear brake job... belts,,,, wheel alignment.... and im not sure about sump.. reallly sound like you brought a junk car or they was looking to put it to you

  2. FIRST OFF YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS.WITH NO BRAKES NOT MUCH ELSE MATTERS.THEN THE TIE ROD ENDS AND ALIGNMENT,THEN THE BELT,AND WHAT THE h**l IS A RETAP SUMP?UNLESS THE REAR HARDWARE IS BROKEN(RETURN SPRING-ANCHOR PIN YOU WONT HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

  3. In order from MOST important to LEAST.

    -wheel alignment

    -rear wheel cylinders

    -rear brake springs

    -alternator belt

    -retap sump

    -rack ends

    Get that done!

  4. It depends on whether the rear brakes are still working & for how long> those brake springs & cylinders are what moves the brake shoes against the brake drum to stop the vehicle.  Normally, they're replaced if they're bad at the time you have a rear brake job.

Next, the alternator belt turns the alternator, which provides the electrical energy.  If it breaks, you can only go so far on the battery.

I've never heard of a retap sump > that might be something we don't use in the States.  And same for rack ends.  But if it has anything to do with steering, an alignment is usually done after.

  5. brakes and the belts. get a 2nd list cause those shops always try to make money. do not believe everything they say.
