Which is the playside/backside?

In an American-football formation, which side is the playside and which side is the backside?

all depends on if your on d or off.      on d you force from the play side to let the back side make the play...on Off. you play to a side(strong or weak) side and go opp.

the side that you are running the ball is the playside. the side you are not running the ball is the backside.
