  1. Personally and professionally, i would say it's still G.I. (Galvanized Iron) for wall studs. Why? Because the commercial timber available, nowadays, has poor or inferior quality compared to those sold in the market before. Not well-seasoned, and not well treated. It's cheaper, but for a long-term basis, it's not that advisable as compared to metal studs.
