  1. Practically anywhere in London is safe, as London has a large and well-established Indian population so you will not feel out of place. In terms of price, south-east London is generally cheaper, and Lewisham is in that area.

  2. The Indian YMCA is in Charlotte Street, Central London

nearest tube Warren Street. It is clean, efficient with a good ground floor restaurant. It is right at the north end of Charlotte Street at the corner of Fitzroy Square.

  3. Departure lounge of Heathrow Airport.

  4. there aint not in london

  5. Why do you want to live in Lewisham?  It's not very nice or vibrant and is Greenwich's poorer cousin.  I would recommend Tooting.  My step-mum is Indian and lives there.  There is a huge vibrant community there where they hold events for Bengali New Year and things like that.  There are also lots of speciality food shops / saree shops etc.  Tooting can be expensive in places but it depends how big a place you want and how far away from the tube station you are.  There are plenty of buses serving Tooting taking you to tubes etc.  It would not be difficult to drive from Tooting to Lewisham as they are both in South London.

  6. Nice one Fiona - I concur

  7. Lewisham is a h**l hole. Good luck with that. There should be plenty of cheap places around there. Me, I like to live somewhere where Ive got a better than 50/50 chance I wont be shot.
