Which is the safest continent to travel?

Question

among the 7 continents which one is the safest to travel, and does not require much security???

but this question is for all who are sharing different experiences and feelings about your own countries....

I lived in China for a year and never felt safer.  The people are friendly, English is everywhere (if you need it), and I could walk home by myself at 2am in the dark and not have to worry about anything.  Prices are cheap too and you can find great lodgings in hostels all across the place.  And, the bonus, it's beautiful and full of history.  I would recommend China to anyone.

I'd say Western Europe or Australia (western europe is actually only half a continent so really, Australia)

Antarctica you might freeze to death

Asia as a whole is very diverse, there are lots of safe place and lots of dangerous places. Safe in Korea, taiwan, japan, not so safe in cambodia, laos, etc

North America is pretty safe, although they have more crime than in Europe and Australia

South America I imagine is as bad as some parts of South/ South East Asia.

Much of Africa is in the third world

I would also say western Europe. I live there and usually feel safe.

Safest by far is Antartica....it accepts no tourists and you need an invatation by one of the research organizations to get on the continent.

However, that one is not realistic, so I would say Australia.  I cannot go with Europe, because Italy is notorious for having your belongings stolen.  If taking a train, they tell you to chain you luggage to you if you are planning to take a nap!

i m not sure you can find a whole continent. I guess Western Europe is pretty safe...but is always a question of where about you want to go cuz even the safest city has rough areas...

I'd love to travel Antarctica, but obviously you can't. I would say Western Europe or Australia are the safest places
